Essex County Clerk Christopher J. Durkin Announces New Episode of County Clerk TV

The seventh episode of County Clerk TV introduces the public to the 2009 “My Essex County” 4th Grade Poster Contest. In its tenth year of existence, the 2009 Poster Contest received a record number of entries from students throughout Essex County.

The Essex County Clerk’s website, www.essexclerk.com, offers County Clerk TV. Since it was introduced in 2006, the episodes have provided information on the office duties, starting with the first episode in 2006 about how to use the new voting machines. Since first being introduced, County Clerk TV has grown and includes episodes about passports, the “My Essex County” poster contest, and the 2008 Presidential election. In the future, the clerk will introduce episodes about marriage, notary public, county identifications, and the new online trade name system.

“The purpose of County Clerk T.V. is to provide a better understanding about what the Clerk’s Office does. The audio and visual aspect of the TV stimulates people’s memory, and I hope the viewers will find it educational and interesting to watch,” says star of County Clerk TV, Christopher J. Durkin.
